Untold develops programs in the fields of theater, dance, talent development, education, empowerment initiatives, and exchange projects both in the Netherlands and abroad.
Untold believes it is important to help young people of African descent become aware of their identity, their history, and their future prospects. Young people in Dutch society need to know where they come from and where they are headed. They need to know who they are.
Untold also organizes two festivals each year: the Black Heritage Festival, which runs throughout the month of June, and the African Diaspora Performing Arts Festival, held on the third weekend of November. These are two interdisciplinary festivals in which African art forms take center stage at the various events and activities. International companies are also featured in the lineup.
