Today, we can’t imagine a world without hip-hop, yet things used to be different. Where did hip-hop originate, and what changes has it undergone? Why do hip-hop and activism go hand in hand?
During the weekend of the Hip-Hop Evolution Showcase, dance, storytelling, spoken word, rap, scratching, and graffiti were brought together in an interdisciplinary way to tell the story of hip-hop’s long journey through a showcase and a junior family day.
